Hermanas Unidas
Hermanas Unidas provides undergraduate, graduate, and professional leadership opportunities and resources to predominantly Latina/Chicana students by participating in and organizing academic, community service, and social events/workshops.This organization was created in order to give Chicanx/Latinxs on campus an opportunity to find a home away from home, while providing academic and community resources and a family networking system through a basis of three pillars: academics, community service and collegiate networking. Thus, ensued the beginning of Hermanas Unidas. Poder de la Mujer This is what every Hermanx strives to embody, as an individual womxn and an organization. This motto symbolizes the strength and will of each and every Hermanx in their quest for higher education, the empowerment of their families and communities, as well as equality in education, the workplace and the rest of society.
